Find out what God is doing through Greater Hope!
A Word
from the Board
What better time than just after Easter to
embrace new beginnings in our lives! We are in such a season at Greater Hope.
Jeff Watros, Executive Director of Greater Hope for nearly 10 years, resigned as
Director and will concentrate his energies toward his counseling ministry. Jeff
continues to be a part of Greater Hope in a counseling capacity. We are so
appreciative of the founding ministry work of Jeff (and Wendy). The board has
sought Jeff’s input as we plan for the future. We plan to honor Jeff and Wendy
at the banquet.
Where does Greater Hope go from here? The
board recently met for a retreat with a consultant to guide our next steps.
Greater Hope is alive! This is a time to open a new chapter. It is my fervent
prayer that the last 10 years of Greater Hope will provide a platform to expand
the reach of this ministry in the Valley. The ministry of Greater Hope has had
3 parts in the past: small-groups (Living Waters, Crosscurrent, Boundaries),
counseling, educational/informative (speaking at churches, newsletter, etc).
These will continue. We are exploring ways to re-structure, develop, and expand
the ministry.
My vision is to see the ministry of Greater
Hope be more accessible to relationally and sexually wounded people in the
Valley. We invite you to be a part of the future of Greater Hope in whatever
ways God leads!
In Christ,
Mike Winters, Board
chair
